Ofo scepter

Ofo" refers to a particular type of wood-and-iron staff that is carried by Igbo elder men in southern Nigeria, including heads of families, heads of clans, leaders of villages, priests, and some masqueraders. Ofos are generally inherited through the paternal lineage. It is a symbol of authority.

The iron portions seem quite older than the wood portion.
